In order to celebrate a recent kindergartener’s graduation his mom decided to have a professional family and graduation portrait photography session. We did the session around their neighborhood in Los Angeles at the areas where this recent graduate spends a great deal of time during his “non-study” periods (aka play time).

When we do outdoor portrait sessions such as this one we take time to have a selection of outfits along with the cap and gown, a good cart to bring the variety of clothes and possible props, make-up for touch ups for the adults, and a few snacks so that we all stay happy! A great time of day to do these portraits are early morning or late afternoon just before sunset.

These sessions are done in the same vain as a regular family portrait with time later scheduled at the photo studio to review the images so that the family can order wall portraits or an album. Many more photographs were taken at this session so that an album was possible to create. Here we have some highlights from the session to get an idea of the general story.
