Julie Hopkins – Portrait Photographer

Camera Creations Photography was established in 2005 after my firm decision to commit to the art form of portrait photography as a professional. I enjoy the human experience and understand our need to create memories. Photographs facilitate the emotional connection between family and friends in time, and help us remember life experiences. 

My boutique photography studio is located in the Beverly Grove area. Camera Creations Photography studio is a warm and delightful place to come in for a free consultation, a photo session or an occasional event. I have a team of qualified assistants when needed and we stress a high-touch experience, attention to details, and a strong relationship with our clients. We have a selection of makeup artists and hair stylists to book for pre-session preparation for portrait and headshot sessions, and weddings. Portrait and headshot sessions can also be done on location (outside of studio) as well.

My eye for beauty was first developed as a professional ballet dancer during a thirteen year career, then with a degree in art history, and with years of practice behind the camera. I am now a certified professional photographer through Professional Photographers of America. All of these experiences have influenced how I see things and translate them to the photographic realm. I am a photographic print artist and everything that I photograph is visualized with the final print in mind. I want to bring photography to every home with tangible artwork so that loved ones can reflect on the various stages in their family’s lifespan. (digital negatives are not included with portrait sessions, but can be purchased separately).

My photography has been published in magazines such as Vogue, Huffington Post, West Hollywood Lifestyle magazine, Dance magazine, Pointe magazine, Backstage West, Larchmont Chronicle and VoyageLA Magazine.
