A mom, Nicole, called me one Saturday and mentioned that she wanted a portrait completed of her family this weekend as her family was traveling cross country on Sunday. I usually do not book a family portrait session on such short notice, but I decided to go ahead and schedule the session for the next day, Sunday.

Nicole, her husband, her daughter and baby boy came in their trailer where they had been traveling cross country. They planned to leave that evening Sunday and drive back to Colorado. She was a real trooper as she had her family dressed up and ready to go when the studio was ready.

My normal process before every portrait session is to consult with the family on their goals, the clothing choices, background requests and how they will be displaying their images in the home. However, this was a rush job and the outcome turned out very well. They spent a few minutes more after the session to choose their favorites. I later prepared the images for them and their artwork.
