Local Photographer’s to Compete in the 2026 International Photographic Competition

Julie Hopkins of Camera Creations Photography is honored by peers and jurors for high-quality photography.

Los Angeles, CA December 1, 2025—A photograph created by Julie Hopkins of Camera Creations Photography in Los Angeles has recently been accepted as a finalist in the Professional Photographers of America’s 2026 International Photographic Competition. Hopkins work is one of the 32 images in the Portrait Groups/Families that will move on as a finalist in the upcoming photo competition at Imaging USA in Nashville, Tennessee, January 11-13, 2026.. Imaging USA is one of the largest annual conventions and expos for professional photographers.

A total of 2,033 finalist images across 16 image categories will be judged in live head-to-head rounds by a panel of eminent jurors from across the United States. With each round, images will be randomly placed into brackets and judges will eliminate the number of images by half. In the end, the sixteen category winning photographers will walk away with a trophy and a check for $1,000. The overall winner of the competition will receive the Grand Imaging Award and a check for $10,000.

“Why We Love,” by Hopkins will be on display at the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition.
