Julie Hopkins – Portrait Photographer
Camera Creations Photography was established in 2005 after I made a firm decision to commit to the art form of portraiture. That’s because I enjoy the human experience and understand our need to create memories. Our photographs facilitate the emotional connections between your family and your friends in time, and help you remember your life experiences. See video below where I speak to why I love to photograph people, pets and professionals.
As a boutique photography studio that is located in the Beverly Grove area we offer a warm and delightful place to come in for a free consultation, your photo session, or an occasional event. I have a team of qualified assistants we stress a high-touch experience, attention to detail, and building a strong relationship with our clients. We have a selection of makeup artists and hair stylists to book for pre-session preparation for your portrait and headshot sessions, and weddings. Your sessions can also be done on location outside the studio, as well.
Always having a keen eye for life’s beauty I became a professional ballet dancer where I graced international stages for thirteen years. After retiring from the stage I got a degree in art history from Loyola Marymount University that complemented my years of traveling around the world and admiring human and nature’s creations. Now, with years of practice behind the camera, I enjoy helping you own your likeness in portraiture specifically created for you. As with all of us, my experiences have influenced how I see the world and translate it to the photographic realm and can only enhance what I produce for you.
I am a photographic print artist and everything that I photograph is visualized with your final prints in mind. I want to bring photography to your home with tangible artwork so that your loved ones can reflect on the various stages in their family’s lifespan.
My photography has been published in magazines such as Vogue, Huffington Post, West Hollywood Lifestyle magazine, Dance magazine, Pointe magazine, Backstage West, Larchmont Chronicle, ShoutOutLA and VoyageLA Magazine.
