Luxury Fine Art Portrait Experience Details

It’s as easy as one, two, three to plan for your luxury family portrait session:

1. I offer an “upscale sit down restaurant” kind of service, you know where there are linens on the table, silverware and a menu with a limited selection of dishes. The experience starts with a private consultation at my photography studio or your home. At the consultation, which generally takes place 2-3 weeks before the session date, we discuss what makes you, or your family unique and how we will depict your specialness in the resulting photographic artwork. We will go over makeup, clothing suggestions, background choices and anything else we need to know about your style. Whether it is a formal, or casual styled session experience, I am confident that we can work together to achieve the imagery your family deserves.
2. Family photography sessions can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. We leave plenty of time for the session, have plenty of tricks up our sleeves for working with children of all ages, and encourage our little models with treats that go along with your family nutritional standards. During your photo session, we do a number of poses, alternate people to get a variety of family groupings and use different props and clothing changes. The idea is to capture the moment, and make it last a lifetime with a custom portrait session designed for legacy artwork for the home. I conduct the sessions in a relaxed manner and I have lots of patience for active children and families.
3. We finish the family portrait session experience with an appointment for a design session (aka “ordering session“) where you are treated to refreshments while viewing approximately 30 to 40 images for choosing images for your custom artwork. All members who will be ordering artwork are welcome to the design session in order to facilitate the ordering process. Please note that we do not present images online or send digital proofs via email. We take pride in delivering the best quality imagery and care about helping our clients make decisions on how to best display their artwork with the in person design session.
