The first step in creating a historical family portrait series is photographing a maternity session at Camera Creations LLC studio with me, photographer Julie Hopkins. Maternity portrait sessions involve the same kind of preparation before the session date as for any other portrait photography session in order to best represent the special mood and character of the family.
At Mishawn’s maternity session we were ready at the studio with a glowing white background, cheerful lighting, a costume in her favorite color, and an array of props for her to utilize. Ben, her husband, stepped in for us to get a beautiful profile photograph of the two lovers looking forward to their newborn baby.
