Sometimes people ask me if they really need a professional headshot because they are not in a glamorous field. I respond with, “absolutely, a professional headshot is a must for any professional that has a business, or hands out business cards to clients and other professionals”.
People respond emotionally to faces and if your image is one of the things that they see on your website or marketing materials, your headshot better be a good one. One that represents you at your best. One that invites people in to discover your business in depth. You would never go to a professional meeting, or a meetup with clients, without dressing appropriately in an effort to put your “best face on”. So, why would you have a snap-shot on your website?
When you leave behind marketing materials with your beautiful smile, and well lit professional portrait, people are reminded of the pleasant interchange that you had with them.
